African recycled glass beads hand-crafted from used glass items, also known as Krobo beads, from Ghana, translucent multi-tones, a design achieved by using different colours of glass powder
Made using old bead-making technique by the Krobo ethnic tribe with a long history of the trade and for bead-wearing
13-14 mm round, 2.5 – 4 mm holes
the glass powder in moulds is heated just enough to fuse giving the beads a grainy surface.
dimensions are approximate and variations occur because they are made by hand
