African beads, made from recycled glass, handmade by the Krobo ethnic group in Ghana,
quite rustic, approx 8-9mm wide 2-3mm holes
largely green tones, although some have pale blus tones
re approximate as they are made by hand
They are made by grinding down used glass items and firing them in moulds in local kilns, all by hand using old, traditional methods. Sometimes new glass is used if particular colours are needed.
there are some pale speckles resulting from the clay moulds in which they are fired.
